S.E. Mr. Darcy was sold in 2012 to Veronica Brodtkorb Pettersen, who competes at the 140 cm level.

S.E. Mr. Darcy began his competition career with a ribbon and had a successful 4-year-old season with many placings, including a placing in his debut in the 105 cm class in the fall. In 2014, he won the 5-year-old final in Grenland in his second start in the 110 cm class. During AEG, he went clear in his first 115 cm class and finished fifth in the final, making him the best Norwegian-bred horse. A month later, he won the young horse final in Grenland.

In the 6-year-old classes at AEG, he started with a 5th place, followed by a 4th place in the second round, and on the third day in a row, he had one rail down in his debut at 125 cm.

S.E. Mr. Darcy debuted at 130 cm in July and went clear. During the Norwegian Breeders Trophy the following weekend, he went clear in the first round (120 cm), had two minor faults in the second round (125 cm), but finished very strong with only one rail down in the final (130 cm) after three days of big and technical courses. Only two pairs were clear in the final.

His 6-year-old season was very successful, with wins and placings in classes from 110 cm to 130 cm. In his 7-year-old season, he debuted at 135 cm.
